>>> How was it for you? Sportive finish times and rider photos published
The original and best New Forest Road Sportive Challenge is now in its 6th year and takes place on Sunday 4 July 2010. Our Event HQ is once again the delightful Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey in Hampshire, which provide the perfect setting for this memorable Sportive. The focus is very much on our newest National Park, and riders will have a great opportunity to ride through some of the very best sections for our summer road event.
Our established route takes you south into the Forest through some of the lesser known routes, before sweeping north through delightful villages all wrapped up in that wonderful New Forest scenery. Following the Avon valley for a while the longer route returns to the heart of the forest before heading north towards Stockbridge then returning to Romsey. On your return the Gardens offer full facilities, including a restaurant, so why not bring some family or friends to enjoy the gardens whilst you take part in the event?
More details of the route with elevation profiles will be published when we have received full approval from the Police. Final route maps and elevation profiles will be published in the week preceding the event. This allows for any last minute changes to be made to the routes due to roadworks, adverse weather conditions, land access etc.

The total distances are a guide only, depending upon the final route which may require alteration due to traffic, roadworks or weather conditions, they may fluctuate by approx +/-10%. Distance and ascent values are provided by TrackLogs Digital Ordance Survey Mapping software.

GPX File Download: GPX format file for the 150km route only
Please note the route runs CLOCKWISE, but the GPX file if downloaded back into for example TrackLogs reverses the track. This is a weird bug of the export process which we can't presently solve so be sure to set the direction correctly into your GPS unit.
